ASO Big Band –
Friday, June 18th, 2010
The Caboose on
Downtown
Alliance will be home to the sounds of the Big Band era again when the Alliance
Symphony Big Band kicks off the Downtown Concert Series on Friday, June 18 at 7
p.m. near the Caboose on Main St. Music from Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller,
Count Basie, Billy Strayhorn,
and Doc Severinson will be featured from the 17 piece
group directed by Bryan Stehura. The free concert is
sponsored by the Downtown Concert Committee, an anonymous donation, and through
an Arts in Stark grant awarded to the Alliance Symphony Orchestra. Bring a
chair or blanket.
Solo con Tutti
Concerto/Aria Competition – 2010
Applications are now being accepted for the 2010 Solo con
Tutti Concerto/Aria Competition. Winners will perform
with the ASO on our Spring 2011 concert! Applications
are due by October 22, 2010 and the competition takes place on November 10,
