Fall 2020 Season Cancelled

Off

Due to safety concerns for audience and performers from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Alliance Symphony Board of Trustees has made the difficult decision to cancel the fall 2020 concert. Plans for spring semester are still on hold but look for an announcement about this in December.

This fall, for the health and safety of all performers, the Mount Union Music Department will not be holding large, indoor ensemble rehearsals and performances that include wind and brass instruments.  For some string students enrolled at Mount Union, orchestra is a required curricular experience so they will participate in a string orchestra.  However, to provide proper physical distancing indoors, the number of string players will be limited to the enrolled Mount Union students with few exceptions (if any) this fall.

We are discussing other ways of fulfilling our mission to foster and promote musical appreciation and understanding, for the benefit of our audience, performers, and the greater Alliance community. You are part of our audience, and music can be delivered over the internet as well as in person.
